Did you know that I am probably the UK’s most prolific artist? a big claim to fame huh?
In my placement year I worked at the Department of Trade and Industry, Millbank Tower. My role was as Cartographic Draughtsman. One of my tasks was to create a set of standardised logos for Fire Hazards. These included the No Smoking sign that you see everywhere, the Fire Retardent symbols on the back of every item of soft furnishing sofas, armchairs etc and several other fire hazard signs ….I can’t even remember them all….but one thing is for sure, nearly 40 years later and they are still being used and every home has them….surely that makes me the UK’s most prolific artist?

So watch out for fake lables like this one………….The linework is poor, the font is wrong etc……..
